Women who intake acetaminophen also known as paracetamol which is highly used for high fever and pain. Hundreds of women consume it at the time of pregnancy when they are in pain or illness.

 

According to the reports, consumption of acetaminophen creates a delay in the language skills of the baby.

 

The intake of acetaminophen greatly saw a reduction in the IQ level, and this thing is mainly found in the baby girls than baby boys.

 

According to the Shanna Swan, Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, US says, “Given the prevalence of prenatal acetaminophen use and the importance of language development, our findings, if replicated, suggest that pregnant women should limit their use of this analgesic during pregnancy.”

 

As per other reports, it is vital to look at the development of language skill in the baby because it could stop other neurodevelopmental problems in the baby. On the other hand, the worst part which was seen in the baby girl that these painkillers might effects the fertility also.
