BlackBerry is coming up with a new device, called the Krypton

As some leaked images appeared online of the new Blackberry Krypton, it suggests that the company is stepping away from their previous approach of design which was round with a glass backs. As the new BlackBerry phone is expected to have a Carbon Fiber back, which sets it apart from other phones featured this year. If these leaked images are legit, we are going to see an entirely new approach to BlackBerry phones.

As a couple of images of their next smartphone emerged on BlackBerry’s BBM channel. Although everyone is certain that the pictures feature the BlackBerry Krypton, the source’s authenticity hasn’t yet been confirmed. Hence. it is not clear if the next smartphone is really the BlackBerry Krypton or not.

 

The newest member of the BlackBerry family shows a noticeable difference from BlackBerry’s KEYone smartphone. The Krypton is expected to feature a round housing for the back camera, which is also said to have a dual LED flash, depending on these leaked BlackBerry Krypton images.

 

It is also expected that the supported resolution will be 1920 x 1088 and the smartphone is expected support Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 processor. Like the Samsung Galaxy S8, it will likely have 4GB of RAM. One more thing to notice here is that the BlackBerry Krypton will have the company’s DTEK and HUB security software, which will come alongside Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

 

One of the rumored features that will appeal to the users the most is IP67 which makes the phone dust and water resistant. This will further protect the device from uncalled for splashes. Also, the home button is expected to have a fingerprint scanner inserted.

 

The Krypton is not expected to be a rival to Apple’s iPhone X and also Samsung Galaxy S8, It will most likely function as a mid-range device, also the case with DTEK60. We shouldn’t completely give up on the upcoming Blackberry device.
